Budget 2020 Summary

We are all more conscious than ever about the effects of climate change and our carbon footprint. Arguably the biggest contributor to CO2 on an individual level is our personal vehicle. However, common feedback on Electric Vehicles (EV) is that there needs to be more of an incentive for drivers to switch from a conventional combustion engine to a battery powered one. Yesterday, 11/03/2020, saw the Government clearly set out its EV and zero-emission vehicle incentive plan, as well as additional updates on the automotive in general.

The British Vehicle Rental and Leasing Association (BVRLA) have had a pivotal role in getting updates and clarity from the government.

As always, there are some winners and some losers...
