What Cars Do The England Squad Drive?
Footballers are well-known for their high wages and luxury lifestyles, regardless of whether they win, lose or draw. French footballer Kylian Mbappe is the highest paid footballer in the world, with an estimated annual earning of $264m. With such high salaries comes an abundance of high end luxury cars. Recently, self-taught super car fixer upper, Mat Armstrong, bought Marcus Rashford's crash damaged Mansory Rolls Royce Wraith that was said to have cost upwards of £700k when he bought it.
So, what cars do the England squad for the Euro 2024 drive? Lets take a look.
Goalkeeper, Jordan Pickford - Lamborghini Urus
England fans will be familiar with Pickford's aggressive style of motivation, often shouting and slapping his gloves together whenever the opposing team breaks through England's defence. Pickford is the proud owner of a stunning Lamborghini Urus, fully blacked out in a stealthy looking satin black with black gloss wheels. Earlier this year, Pickford and his Lambo faced some backlash when he was photographed parking it in a disabled bay. Whilst parking tickets are a drop in the ocean for any footballer, the disregarded for disabled drivers left a bitter taste in many people's mouth.
Nevertheless, Pickford starts our line up with his Lamborghini Urus costing upwards of £160,000 standard.
Right Back, Kieran Walker - Lamborghini Huracan
Walker's pace and speed was recently seen in England's game against Denmark, and his taste in cars definitely reflects this. Walker has quite an impressive line up of cars to say the least, including a Bentley Bentayga. But his pride and joy is Lamborghini Huracan.
Right Centre Back, John Stones - Rolls Royce Cullinan
When compared to the previous cars mentioned so far, Stones has taken a slightly different approach from speed. The Rolls Royce Cullinan is second to none when it comes to style, comfort, and pure luxury. Of course, there is a price tag to go with it.
Left Centre Back, Marc Guehi - Anyone's Guess?!
We couldn't actually find any information on this one... sorry!
Left Back, Kieran Trippier - Range Rover
What Trippier is now driving around in is not clear, but for the 2022 World Cup his car of choice was a Range Rover.
Despite a tasty line up of cars, the Trippier family have not always been so lucky with cars. During the Euro 2020, Kieran Trippier's mum, Eleanor, discovered that she had a puncture the day before she was due to drive to Wembley to watch her son play. Fortunately it was fixed in time!
Centre Defensive Mid, Declan Rice - Range Rover Sport
Declan Rice has kept it stylish and classy with his blacked out Range Rover Sport.
Centre Defensive Mid, Trent Alexander-Arnold - Mercedes AMG C63 Coupe
The Mercedes AMG C63 Coupe is absolutely beast of car and Alexander-Arnold's in stealth satin grey with black bonnet stripe looks the part too.
Right Wing, Bukayo Saka - Mercedes AMG G63
The G63 is definitely a car that many associate with footballers, and Saka is no exception. As seen in the list so far, footballers seem to love the fast and spacious SUVs. The G63 has a whopping 585hp and a powerful V8 engine. Of course, the £130,000+ price tag is not for the faint hearted. Those wanting to get their hands on a G63 now may find themselves paying above the list price to get one due to the extensive waiting list for a brand new factory order.
The G63 is often seen highly customised, with the likes of Brabus offering bespoke body styling and engine tuning for those willing to pay several hundreds of thousands extra.
Centre Mid, Jude Bellingham - BMW XM
Bellingham's BMW XM is the first in this line up to fully electric yet would still satisfy any petrol head. The BMW XM is fully electric high performance SUV with an eye watering 748hp. Bellingham's XM is an interesting one: despite his high salary and the car's £155k price tag, he was actually gifted this car for free as part of Real Madrid's partnership with BMW. Reports suggest that the players had pretty much free reign to chose whatever they wanted from BMW, and Bellingham opted for the XM.
Centre Attacking Mid, Phil Foden - Mercedes GLE AMG and Toyota Vellfire
Foden boasts are wide ranging choice of cars in his line up, including a Mercedes S Class and Mercedes GLE 53 AMG. Clearly a fan of Mercedes but requiring a spacious car for his family, one of the most intriguing cars in his line up is the Toyota Vellfire. There is nothing special about this car, but definitely has enough space with its six seats for all the family.
Striker, Harry Kane - Jaguar F Pace
As England's captain and top goal scorer, many question Kane's choice of car with his humble Jaguar F Pace. With a reported £200k per week salary, this everyday Jaguar F Pace is a common sight on the roads with its £40k price tag. Although his Jaguar F Pace is every day car, it would be unfair on him to suggest this is his only car.
Amongst other things, he is also the proud owner of Bentley Continental GT with a price tag of over £210k.
And if any of the England squad have gave our blog a read and fancy a new car on lease, be sure to contact us, we would love to help!!!
