The benefits of a maintained lease - Joanne's Story
There are many benefits that come with taking out a maintained lease; all of your servicing, tyres, brakes etc are included for a fixed monthly cost wrapped into your lease. This is a great way of budgeting ahead and looking at the whole-life cost of your car during your lease. As we mentioned, tyres are included, and this is something one of our customers, Joanne, really benefitted from recently.

From a good day to a bad day...
Joanne's day was going well; work was finished for the day and she was looking forward to enjoying her evening. After taking her "boys" Stanley and Eric (a Frenchie and playful Staffie) for an evening walk, Joanne was continuing her evening with a short drive to the shops. But this is where things, including her tyre, went south. Unfortunately, a pot hole and caused one of her tyres to completely blow out, leaving her at the side of a busy road on a cold, dark night. A stressful situation to say the least! Due to the nature of the blow out, the tyre inflation kit included in the car was no use. Using the SOS featured in her MINI Cooper, recovery was dispatched and her car was recovered...
Maintained Lease to the rescue!
Joanne contacted Pendle Lease immediately for advise and assistance. First thing in the morning, a member of the Pendle Team were on the phone to Joanne, reassuring her and talking her through the process. Maintenance on a lease includes tyres, as we said, and this includes incidents such as this! Pendle Lease were in contact with the finance funder for Joanne's car immediately, arranging a replacement tyre. The funder was extremely helpful, sourcing the correct tyre and a mobile tyre fitter to come to Joanne's house and fix the car. BUT... Joanne was at work and unable to receive the car back from the recovery agent pending the arrival of the mobile tyre fitter. As Joanne lives local to the Pendle Lease office, Pendle arranged for her car to be dropped off at the Pendle Lease office and for a mobile tyre fitter to come to the office and fix her car. Joanne was able to collect her car from the Pendle Lease office within 24 hours!!
Of course, the cost of a tyre is not cheap. Being right before Christmas, no one needs any extra outgoings when money should be going on presents!! Fortunately, due to Joanne's lease being maintained the cost of the new tyre was covered...
From a good day, to a bad day and then back to a good day!!
