Pendle Lease Becomes SAF Approved - Staff Achieve Expert Status
All the staff at Pendle Lease recently passed an exam set by the Specialist Automotive Finance (SAF) and the Finance and Leasing Association, achieving Expert status. The aim of SAF is to provide individuals working in motor finance with additional learning and tools to increase their product knowledge and expertise. The overall aim is increase consumer confidence within the motor finance industry. This was no easy feat and staff were required to conduct extensive learning and studying to achieve the required pass mark.
Consumers want to know that they are in safe and knowledgeable hands when committing to leasing or financing a new vehicle. As such, the Expert exam tests intermediate knowledge of 9 different vehicle finance products that are regularly used by consumers when buy or leasing a new vehicle. The topics covered ranged from Contract Hire and Leasing, Finance Lease, Personal Contract Purchase, and Personal Loans. Having a greater knowledge of the products, interest rates, and finance structures means our staff are even more qualified to discuss the best suited products for you.
On top of this, extensive training went into Regulatory Knowledge, covering the following:
- Consumer credit and Financial Conduct Authority (FCA)
- Promoting and selling motor finance, including how FCA rules and legislation govern how motor finance can be promoted. Keeping the customer's rights as the most important element is vital
- General legislation impacting on the sales process

Once all our staff had the completed the training, Pendle Lease as company were able to obtain SAF Approved Status. SAF is endorsed by The London Institute of Banking and Finance, ensuring the highest quality of learning.
