The British Motor Museum
It’s only right to start of our list with the powerhouse that is The British Motor Museum. Located in Warwickshire with over 300 cars on display and a vast selection of motoring artefacts that tell the tale of the history of British motoring, the museum has a created a number of period displays to showcase various points of automotive history. The British Motor Museum has a wide variety of cars on display, ranging from early models to modern day vehicles, and also has a number of interactive exhibits, making it a great place for both adults and children to explore.
The museum is open daily from 10am to 5pm.
The Jaguar Daimler Heritage Trust
The Jaguar Daimler Heritage Trust is a brilliant car museum, especially for enthusiasts of British luxury motoring. The Trust was founded in 1983 and is based at the British Motor Museum in Gaydon, Warwickshire. The Trust's collection includes an amazing selection vehicles from Jaguar, Daimler and Lanchester, as well as a large archive of documents and photographs. The Trust also has a restoration workshop where skilled craftsmen work to maintain and restore the vehicles in the collection. Visitors to the museum can see a wide range of historic Jaguar and Daimler cars on display, as well as learn about the history of these iconic British brands. The Trust offers a variety of guided tours, talks and events throughout the year, making it an enjoyable and educational day out for all ages.
The trust is open everyday from 10am to 5pm.
Great British Car Journey
There are few better ways to spend a day than visiting the rolling hills of Derbyshire, especially when one of the most interesting car museums in the UK is located there. The National Motor Museum at Beaulieu is one of the best car museums in the UK. It is home to 285 vehicles, ranging from classic cars to Formula 1 racers and world record breakers.
